Livestock judging teaches 4-H members livestock evaluation skills for beef, goat, sheep, and swine. Additionally, members will learn how to defend their placings through oral reasons.
An opportunity for youth enrolled in 4-H to demonstrate the breadth of their knowledge and understanding of equine science and management.
The Horse Bowl Contest allows members to demonstrate their horse knowledge, on everything from anatomy to judging and tack. Only two teams will compete at a time, with the first person to hit the buzzer answering the question asked.
The Horse Judging contest gives members the chance to develop their horse evaluation skills through class evaluation and placings. Furthermore, participants learn how to defend their placings through oral reasons.
