Cake Decorating Workshop

There will be a cake decorating workshop on Sunday, February 26th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the 4-H Building and Sunday, April 30th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the 4-H Building, 527 N. 15th Avenue, Greeley at Island Grove Park. Come join us for this fun learning experience.

Members in Unit 1 will need to bring a baked 8”, 9” or 10” round or square cake. The cake can have a crumb coat on it. You will need to bring frosting for your cake and edible items to decorate with, a cake spatula, and a tall cup for hot water. You will learn how to bake a level cake, frost and smooth the frosting on your cake, and use edible items to decorate your cake.

Members in Unit 2 will need to bring a baked 8”, 9” or 10” round or square cake. Members in Unit 3 will need to bring a two layered baked 8”, 9” or 10” round or square cake. Unit 4 will need to bring a character cake. Unit 5 will need to bring 4-12 cupcakes or cookies. Unit 6 will need to bring a baked cake to cut up and a knife. Units 2-10 may bring a frosted cake. You will need to bring frosting and all of your tips needed for the unit. You will learn how to use different tips specific for your unit.

Please call the Extension Office for questions or to RSVP by February 22nd for the February 26th class at (970) 400-2076. If you do not RSVP, you can still attend the workshop. We do ask that you RSVP so we can have the correct amount of handouts and the building set up properly for the workshop.
