There will be one leathercrafting Unit 2 workshop offered this year. Each workshop will be specific to a unit and its requirements. Each member is asked to bring their tools with them.
Unit 2 workshop will cover basic leather carving techniques and the double loop stitch. Members will need to bring a mallet, tooling board, modeling tool, swivel knife, camouflage tool, pear shader, beveler, veiner, seeder and backgrounder. There will only be one workshop offered for this unit- space is limited. It will be an all-day workshop on May 13, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the 4-H building. A pizza lunch will be provided.
Members can obtain tools anywhere leather crafting supplies are found. Tandy’s Leather is the most well know supplier, however there are other suppliers such as Hobby Lobby and Amazon. Sign Up for the Leathercraft Unit 2 Workshop
Please also note that the leathercraft project requirements have changed this year. All members enrolled need to look over project requirements and make sure they are enrolled in the proper unit and have the correct requirements met for fair.
