Shooting Sports Certification Training

If you are interested in becoming a Certified Shooting Sports Leader, in any discipline, trainings will be offered across the state this Spring. To attend the training, you must be an enrolled, approved leader for Weld County 4-H. This requires online training videos, background check, and reference check.

Dates for the coming trainings are listed below. There will be a limited number of slots per discipline. You must be an approved leader to sign up for the training.  The process of becoming a leader can take 4 weeks.

There are only 4 shooting sports certification workshops in the state including:

• Morgan County (Brush), March 3 – March 5, 2023 for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun and Archery. 
• Weld County (Greeley), March 10 - March 12, 2023 for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun and Archery. 
• Pueblo County (Pueblo), March 17 – March 19, 2023 for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Archery, Hunting and Outdoor Skills, Muzzleloader, and Western Heritage.  
• Garfield County (Rifle), March 23 - March 26, 2023 for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Archery, Hunting and Outdoor Skills, Muzzleloading and Western Heritage.
