Weld County Agricultural Leadership Ambassadors (WALA)

Weld Agricultural Leadership Ambassadors Logo

The Weld County 4-H Agriculture Ambassadors Program has three purposes:

The ambassadors will educate groups on agriculture, including 4-H youth, schools, and other groups seeking education in agriculture.

The ambassadors will collaborate with agricultural organizations and businesses by touring facilities and creating dialogue with industry and community leaders.

The ambassadors will serve as leaders and role models for 4-H youth through involvement in 4-H activities, as well as serving as a source of knowledge for 4-H youth. They will participate in leadership activities that will help them develop their leadership style.

How to Apply:

If so, we have an opportunity for you! The Weld Agriculture Leadership Ambassador (WALA) program is designed to educate members about the different facets of agriculture. This program offers the chance for members to gain a deeper understanding of the agriculture industry and understand how different aspects work together. Members will be required to attend monthly meetings and complete a portfolio of the events. At the end of the program, members will have the opportunity to receive scholarship funds.  Applications need to be returned to the Extension Office by July 16, 2018.
