Shooting Sports Certification Training in Garfield County

Interested in being a part of the growing Weld County Shooting Sports program? Then mark your calendars because there are only 4 Leader and Jr. Leader Shooting Sports Certification workshops in the state.  You can register for this workshop through 4-H Online, registration will be close one week prior to the start of the training and NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.  Discipline classes are capped so register early!

You must be an enrolled leader to be able to attend one of these Certification Workshops.  If you are interested in becoming a certified instructor and you are not an enrolled leader, there is still time to go through the leader process.  You must be in the process of becoming a leader a minimum of 4 weeks before the training registration deadline.  To start your leader application, login to your 4-H Online family account and add yourself as an adult.

There are only 4 shooting sports certification workshops in the state including:

• Morgan County (Ft. Morgan), March 1 – March 3, 2024 for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun and Archery. 
• Pueblo County (Pueblo), March 8 - March 10, 2024 for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Archery, Hunting & Outdoor Skills, Muzzleloader, and Western Heritage.
• Weld County (Greeley), March 15 – March 17, 2024 for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun and Archery. 
• Garfield County (Rifle), March 22 – March 24, 2024 for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Archery, Muzzleloader, Hunting & Outdoor Skills, and Western Heritage. 

All workshops are tentative and may be cancelled or adjusted to meet current Colorado State Government, CSU and or County restrictions and requirements.  Additional trainings may be added to the schedule tentatively, should circumstances allow.
