The Weld County 4-H Youth Executive Council is sponsoring a window display promotion that celebrates National 4-H Week, October 6-12, 2024. Your club can put together a window display that lets people see the confidence, passion and practical skills that prepare 4-H’ers to step up to the challenges of our complex, changing world.  This year’s theme is “Beyond Ready”. 

Every club that constructs an educational and promotional window display that is exhibited in your community will be eligible for the Window Display contest.  Youth Executive Council will award a 1st place award of $60 and 2nd place winner award of $40.  Entries due by October 20, 2024.

Colorado Farm Show Scholarship

Colorado Farm Show is offering over $25,000 in scholarships to Colorado High School Seniors graduating in the winter of 2024 or the spring of 2025. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in an Agricultural field of study at the college or university of their choice. To date, the Farm Show has awarded a total of $250,000 in scholarships!

Scholarship applications and guidelines can be found at Colorado Farm Show. Applications must be submitted no later than November 1, 2024. Applications that are incomplete or late will not be considered.

Daniels Fund Scholarship

The Daniels Scholarship is an exciting and challenging program that provides the opportunity to obtain a four-year college education at any accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States, complete with financial and personal support throughout the journey. The Daniels Scholarship Program offers resources, encouragement, and inspiration far beyond the financial assistance needed to earn a college degree. Our goal is not only to help Daniels Scholars succeed in college, but to ensure that they thrive beyond their years in college. Attention Livestock Families, Weld County 4-H and FFA members enrolling in any market and/or breeding livestock or small animal projects for the first time regardless of age, must attend a Colorado Meat Quality Assurance (MQA) program. 4-H and FFA members will be required to attend a Face to Face Colorado MQA program a minimum of twice during the course of their career – once as a junior (8-13 years old, age as of December 31st) and once again within one year after becoming a senior (14-18 years old, age as of December 31st) member.

If you are a Cloverbud aging up and will be showing livestock or small animals in the 2024-2025 4-H year, you can come to this Fall MQA Training.

Weld County 4-H is offering a traditional MQA  Training on  Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Exhibition Building, 525 N. 15th Avenue, Greeley. 

Pre-registration is not necessary, just show up, sign in and take the training.  We will be ending the  training right at 4:00 p.m. so make certain you are there by 3:00 p.m. so you can finish the training. We will have an additional 2 MQA Trainings this spring.
