Leather Carving Skills Workshop: Carving Skills used in Units 2, 3 & 4.

Topic Highlights:

• Review of leather preparation, finish & care
• Review of project requirements
• Unit 2 will complete a sample piece from the project requirements
• Units 3 & 4 will pick one or two carving styles allowed from their unit requirements to practice

Members Must Bring:

• Mallet
• Tooling Board
• Modeling Tools
• • Stylus/ Point & Spoon Tools
• Swivel Knife
• Camouflage Tool
• Pear Shader
• Beveler
• Veiner
• Seeder
• Backgrounder

Members can obtain tools anywhere leather crafting supplies are found. Tandy’s Leather is the most well known supplier, however there are other suppliers such as Hobby Lobby & Amazon.

Leather, Patterns & Tracing Material will be provided.
