Are You Ready for Fair?

There is always the common question of: Did you complete all the steps to be eligible to exhibit at fair? Please see the below check-lists to see if you have completed all the steps for your projects!

Fair Entries:  Online at: Weld County Fair. Entries close July 6th!!

If you are unsure if you’ve completed all of the steps please call and verify prior to July 6th!!

Please open the project section you are taking to see if you have all of the requirements met:

Family Consumer Science, General and Natural Resources, and County Projects

Dog Project

  • Dog ID’s are due in 4-H Online by May 1st. You must update previously exhibited dogs, they do not automatically carry over
  • Interview Judging sign-up by July 6th. Interview judging day is Monday, July 20th. Sign-up will open on June 1st!
    • Dog members must sign up for an interview for the corresponding project record book. Failure to sign-up for a record book interview will result in participation only.

Crops and Vegetable Projects

  • Crops and Vegetable members must sign up for an interview for the corresponding project record book. Failure to sign-up for a record book interview will result in participation only in those two divisions.

Record Books for All Projects

  • Do you have the proper Record Book? Visit Colorado 4-H Website to find the appropriate e-record.  For Pocket Pets and Restoration projects, please use the Self Determined e-record. 
  • Crops and Genealogy both have record books online on the Weld 4-H Project Page.
  • Shooting Sports: You will need to download your record book from the Colorado 4-H Website. The manual you received from your leader is not your record book, just a manual for information.

Project Requirements and Score Sheets

  • Do you know your project requirements? Refer to the State 4-H and County 4-H Project Requirements! Some projects require only exhibit item and record book, some also require a completed manual.
  • Do you know how your project will be evaluated? Visit: Colorado 4-H website. If you are unsure if you’ve completed all of the steps please call and verify prior to July 6th!!

    • Southeast Weld County Fairgrounds (Keenesburg): Thursday, May 7th, 4:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Market Pigs: Must pick up paper work from office and paperwork due back to the Extension Office by 4:00 p.m. May 7th or by 6:00 p.m. at the Southeast Weld Fairgrounds in Keenesburg.
  • Market Rabbits: Doe ID’s Due May 1st

Animal Care and Housing Form, Animal Ownership and Meat Quality Assurance

  • Animal Care and Housing Forms – Due May 1st
